You can check out a user's profile page by clicking on the username in the list of hunches. We're currently adding the ability to click on a username on the hunch page itself, too. The next step is collaboration and private hunches. Also, the "beta ui page" has been updated. OOB - does this now fit in your screen with the collapsible left pane? http://slowhunch.com/hunches/hootmic
Brilliant - everything fits! _ The Search function is for title only? could it be content as well?
Every time I go in to read the “replies” of a hunch my "view" adds to the view clicker. I was on Quirky the other day and someone got flamed for boosting their status ranking by gaming the numbers. Is there a way that your additional views aren't counted perhaps only if you are logged on or if you are the author? It is sort of related to the retweet issue that SJ was talking about. You don't want to distort what is really happening. I suppose it depends on what you are counting and why……….. Could you do "News" section that is updated when you log in that only shows you what has been posted, hunches and replies, from the last log out, or “log in” if that is easier?
Did you see your profile page? I could easily add the views count to that so you can check the status. You could go away, then refresh that page. Adding a "since you last logged in" is possible, but involves a LOT of code. I understand what you're saying about the views, but technically, when you go in to read your replies, it's a view. Here's an even better solution: how about an email when somebody replies to your hunch? A couple of other people have suggested that to me. OR: a private message notifying you "you have a new reply". Really, the bottom line is that you want to see who replied to your hunch and when, so you can stay on top of things. As far as your first reply to this, how do you mean, "The Search function is for title only?"
Yeah - Sorry I hadn't realized the "Signed in as" was a portal to the profile page - I guess becasue it isn't blue? Anyway - looks good. The Search thing - on the hootmic page when you enter something in the search box it pulls results from the hunch titles only - not the body.
BTW - in response to SlowHunch.com Models / Other Websites I had planned to do a goview on each talking about likes and dislikes per site looking for ideas to borrow - just not enough hours...........
