Background

SlowHunch.com is a Ruby on Rails 3 web application. Special thanks to David Heinemeier Hansson and 37Signals for open-sourcing Ruby on Rails in the first place. This alone demonstrates the power of releasing your ideas into the wild.

Also, a big thanks goes out to the Rails Core Team for continually improving Rails.

So far, we're using the following gems in this project:

• Will Paginate
• Acts as Taggable On
• Devise
• OmniAuth
• Thumbs Up, Brady8's fork of Vote Fu

We're using the 960 Grid System for our layout.

Feature Status

Here are the following features we've implemented so far:

• Authorization (logging in/out and adding users)
• Hunches (added a Hunch model, views and controller)
• Added a Reply model, controller and views (replies belong to hunches)
• Enabled tagging via Acts As Taggable On
• Deployed the app to a Linode server
• Enabled voting on hunches via Thumbs Up

What's Next?

Private hunches and collaboration with other "hunchers".
